Welcome to Schema ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered self storage assistant and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Schema provides an AI-powered conversational assistant designed to help users find, compare, and book self storage units. The Service uses artificial intelligence to process your requests, provide facility information, check availability, and facilitate bookings with participating self storage providers.

2. AI-Generated Responses

The Service uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
  • Information about storage unit availability, pricing, facility features, and promotions is provided in real time where possible but may not always reflect current conditions.
  • The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided.
  • You should verify all critical details — including pricing, unit size, access hours, and facility policies — directly with the storage provider before making a booking or payment.

3. No Guarantee of Availability

The Service may display storage unit availability based on information provided by third-party storage facilities. We do not own, operate, or control any storage facility. Availability shown through the Service is not guaranteed and may change at any time without notice. A reservation or booking initiated through the Service is subject to confirmation by the storage provider.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information when making inquiries or bookings.
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes related to finding and booking self storage.
  • Not attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI system.
  • Not use the Service to store, transmit, or facilitate the storage of prohibited, hazardous, or illegal items as defined by applicable law and individual facility policies.
  • Review and agree to the individual terms and conditions of any storage facility you book through the Service.

5. Bookings and Payments

When you book a storage unit through the Service, you are entering into a rental agreement directly with the storage facility, not with Schema. We act as an intermediary to facilitate the connection. All payment terms, cancellation policies, fees, and rental conditions are governed by the storage facility's own agreements. Schema is not responsible for disputes between you and any storage provider.

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein. Conversations with our AI assistant may be logged and used to improve the Service. Do not share sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers or financial account details) through the chat interface.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Schema or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Schema and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated information.
  • Loss of or damage to stored property.
  • Disputes with storage facility operators.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
  • Service interruptions or downtime.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to Schema, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Schema and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
